Posibles remaques de FF clasiscos para DS

In a recent interview, several tasty morsels have been revealed about Square Enix's mammoth remake of Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS. Here are a few snippets:

1UP: The Wi-Fi features in the game -- I haven't really been able to use them much, but they seem to be based largely around Final Fantasy IX's Mognet. What are some of the advantages of using the communication function of the game?

Asano: The Wi-Fi features allow players to communicate with other people, or to use Mognet to communicate with NPCs in the game, which lets you unlock special features in the game. The onion knights, which was originally the default job in the NES version, can actually only be unlocked through the wireless feature.

1UP: Playing through FFIII DS, it reminds me a lot of FFIX. The look and feel of it.... I feel like you've created something with an excellent sense of the classic Final Fantasy feeling. So I have to ask -- if the opportunity arose, would you want to use the game's technology to create remakes of other classic FFs, or maybe even original titles?

Asano: Hopefully, yes!

Tanaka: Given that the game has been received very well here in Japan, we'll make something along the same lines.

Backing this up, here is another quote from GamesRadar's interview with the team:

GR: This is the first time for this game to come to the US. Alongside the plans for FFV and FFVI, we'll soon have seen remakes of every classic FF game. Where do you go from here?

Tanaka: FFIV, V and VI have been ported to the GBA. As you have seen FFIII is not a port but more of a remake. In the future, since FFIII has been received pretty well so far, we're actually considering remaking some of the other Final Fantasy games.

So which Final Fantasy games will be prime for a remake using the Final Fantasy III DS engine? Many are hoping that the FFVI port on the GBA will be reworked, whilst others are eager for the PSone FF games to come to the DS (which is possible as Squaresoft publish them in Japan, not Sony).

GR: esta es la primera vez que este juego va a llegar a los EEUU. Junto con los planes del final fantasy 5 y 6, pronto tendremos vistos todos los remaques de los juegos clasicos de FF. ¿donde vais desde aqui?

Tanaka:FFIV, Y y VI han sido porteados a la GBA. Como has visto FFIII no es un port sino un remaque. En el futuro, dado que el FFIII a sido tan bien recibido, estamos considerando hacer remaques de otros juegos de la saga final fantasy.

Genial notica ojala lo hagan y los saquen fuera de japon, ahora lo unico que nos queda es rezar porque traigan el remaque del FFIII a europa y ver que hacen con este asunto.
